Itinerary | 2 days in Paris

Discovering the monuments that have made Paris’ reputation!

Day 1:

Start at the Eiffel Tower early in the morning to avoid the long queue that forms as the day goes on; then climb to the 3rd floor and admire the views of Paris. Afterwards, head for the Batobus at the corner of the Iéna Bridge to continue your visit as seen from the river Seine. The boat trip will allow you to appreciate the architecture of Paris and some handsome monuments such as the Pont Alexandre III and the Musée d’Orsay, for example. Get off the boat at the stop at Notre-Dame. After taking the Pont Double, head into the renowned Cathédrale Notre-Dame. It must be time for lunch by now! You could settle on an outside terrace at nearby Place Dauphine or on Île de la Cité weather permitting, or continue on your way as far as the Marais district that is teeming with little restaurants. After this break, spend a little time shopping around Rue des Francs Bourgeois with its nice designer boutiques (a good opportunity to pick up some souvenirs of Paris). At the end of the afternoon, take the metro to the Montmartre district and admire the sunset over the rooftops of Paris from Sacré-Cœur. Taste the area’s village spirit and have dinner there.

Day 2:

Start at the Louvre for an unforgettable visit. The museum is so vast that you need to make a selection or spend the entire day there! Finish your visit with a little treat at Angélina where you can have a hot chocolate or a pastry. Then walk through the Jardin des Tuileries and onto Place de la Concorde before heading up the famous Avenue des Champs-Elysées as far as the Arc de Triomphe. You will find all you the refreshments you require, sitting outside a café or to take away. Then take the RER train and hang out with the Parisians at Jardin du Luxembourg. Your day can come to an end with a stroll around Place du Panthéon.
