Who said that bow ties were out of fashion? Not Merci Simone, that’s for sure. They are revamping them into a version that is a blend of wood and good fabric. This original idea is 100% Made in France.
A family affair
What is the story behind Merci Simone? That of a brother and a sister, Clotilde and Hubert, who share a taste for offbeat accessories. They drew inspiration from the family wardrobes where the outfits were made of tweed and tartan. Their idea was to promote masculine elegance, while also modernising it. It led them to launch their own brand which dresses men from Paris to London and Brussels in their fun bow ties, whose particularity is their blend of a wooden shape with a fabric necktie.
The MerSi (the short form of Merci Simone) bow ties are designed and manufactured in the Sarthe region of France for 100% French manufacturing. For the wooden bow tie, the founders called on Paul, a young cabinet-maker, who makes each piece unique. As for the neckties, the team entrusted their manufacture to a French workshop renowned for its know-how. This family affair is committed to quality and authenticity.
Pauline, Victoria, Guillemette and the others
These pretty French first names are not the founders’ cousins, but the names given to the different models of bow tie. There is something for every taste (on condition that you like wood), with shapes that are more or less rounded and wood that is sometimes light (beech, maple…), sometimes dark (walnut, amaranth…), and sometimes shows the vein of the wood (oak…). In terms of the fabric, you have a choice of chic, single colours, classic patterns or some more original ones. We should tell you that you can also create your own combination using the tailor-made service, and whatever the case, the neck tie is removable, making them interchangeable.
