The adventures of the House of Hermès began in 1920, when the Hermès family, masters in manufacturing harnesses and saddles for horses, began to make their first luxury leather goods and fashion products.
The stylist Lola Prussac worked with the house in 1937 to create the most mythical scarf in the history of French fashion, the silk square. The House of Hermès, originally from the equestrian world, is extremely sensitive to the idea of perfection and has consistently shown its attachment to the prodigious work carried out by its craftspeople. Many of their creations like the Kelly and Birkin crocodile bags and the Sellier and Cape Cod hand-stitched watches are sources of adulation the world over. In its only concept store, located in a swimming pool covered in mosaic tiles that formerly belonged to the Lutetia Hotel, Hermès clothing mingles delicately with the most distinguished flowers by Baptiste and rubs shoulders with books and furniture pieces. Hermès is a certain kind of invitation to go on an adventure, to take a horse and go for a ride in its famous carriage.
